إن المثال و الصورة التوضيحية مكونان أساسيان في بنية التعريف، يتخذان الوضع نفسه من حيث إنهما خاصان لا يقبلان التعميم مثل التعريف، فالمثال مهم في العملية التعلمية، التي تحدد طرائق الفهم و الاكتساب، فهو الطريقة الأمثل التي نحقق بها أهداف عملية التعلم، و لكنه يكون مرهونا بسياقات التعلم المختلفة، و من بين هذه السياقات التمثلات الثقافية و الاجتماعية التي تظهر في المثال و الصورة التوضيحية، لذلك حاولنا من خلال هذه الدراسة رصد أثر هذه التمثلات في المعاجم المدرسية، و كيف توجه إدراك المتعلم لفهم المعنى، و نبين من خلال ذلك التمثيلات الثقافية في المثال و الصورة، و كيف تم إنشاؤها ؟، لتساهم في الشرح و التوضيح، و علاقتها بالمرجع في الواقع، باعتبار أن للمرجع ارتباطا بالتمثيلات.
حاولت الإجابة عن هذه الإشكالية من خلال المعجمين المدرسيين المجاني المصور لجوزيف إلياس، و لوروبار للصغار Le Robert benjamin)، و استنتجت طبيعة المثال و الصورة التوضيحية، اعتمادا على دراسة بكال صونية "الوظيفة الدلالية للمثال الموضوع في القاموس المدرسي"، حيث تم تحديد أنماط المثال و كان من جملة النتائج ؛ أن معجم لوروبار المدرسي قد و ظف المثال و الصورة التوضيحية لشرح المعنى، بما يلائم محيط تلميذ و ثقافته، أما المجاني المصور و إن و ظف القوالب في المثال بما يخدم الدلالة و الشرح إلا أن التمثيلات في الصورة التوضيحية لا تعكس محيط التلميذ، مما يوقعه في أخطاء التعرف على المرجع في الواقع و ربطه بالكلمة.

The example and the illustration in the school dictionary are two components of the structure of the definition, they have the character of singularity and not of abstraction.
the example is important in the learning process, which determines the modalities of understanding and acquisition, it is the best way to achieve the objectives of the learning process, but it is dependent on the different contexts of learning, and among these contexts, the cultural and social representations that appear in the example and illustration.
this article discusses cultural and social representations in school dictionaries and their role in explaining meaning.
we show the cultural representations in the example and the picture, and how they have been elaborated, to contribute to the explanation, and their relation to the referent in reality, since it is linked to the representations.
in this regard, we chose the school dictionary illustrated dictionary of joseph Elias «al-Majānī» and school dictionary «le Robert Benjamin», then we classified the types of the example and illustration, we refer to a study of Sonia Bekal «the semantic function of the forged example in the school dictionary».
in conclusion, the Robert Benjamin use the example and the illustration in the explanation of the meaning according to the universe and the culture of the learner.
«al-Majānī» dictionary used stereotypes in the example that contribute to the explanation of meaning but the representations in the illustration do not reflect the learner’s universe, which leads to errors in recognizing the relationship between the word and the referent.

L’exemple et l’illustration dans le dictionnaire scolaire sont deux composantes de la structure de la définition, ils ont le caractère de singularité et non d’abstraction.
l’exemple est important dans le processus d’apprentissage, qui détermine les modalités de compréhension et d’acquisition, c’est la meilleure façon d’atteindre les objectifs du processus d’apprentissage, mais il est dépendant des différents contextes d’apprentissage, et parmi ces contextes, les représentations culturelles et sociales qui apparaissent dans l’exemple et l’illustration.
cet article aborde le thème des représentations culturelles et sociales dans les dictionnaires scolaires et leur rôle dans l’explication du sens.
nous montrons les représentations culturelles dans l’exemple et l’image, et comment elles ont été élaborées, pour contribuer à l’explication, et son rapport aux référent dans la réalité.
a cet égard, nous avons choisi le dictionnaire scolaire dictionnaire illustré de joseph elias «al-majānī» et dictionnaire scolaire «le robert benjamin», puis nous avons classé les types de l’exemple et de l’illustration, nous nous référons à une étude de sonia bekal «la fonction sémantique de l’exemple forgé dans le dictionnaire scolaire».
en conclusion, le robert benjamin utilise l’exemple et l’illustration dans l’explication du sens selon l’univers et la culture de l’apprenant.
le dictionnaire «al-majānī» a utilisé des stéréotypes dans l’exemple qui contribuent à l’explication du sens mais les représentations dans l’illustration ne reflètent pas l’univers de l’apprenant, ce qui entraîne des erreurs de reconnaissance de la relation entre le mot et le référent.
