In this present article, we are interested to study a very important piece of the process of translation: the receiver or the reader.
he is the one who will give meaning to the text and the translation.
taking as a basis Umberto Eco's approach of the model reader, we have tried to determine what skills are expected from the reader of a translated text and how the translator can anticipate this reader when carrying out his mission.

Par cet article, nous nous sommes intéressés à un maillon important de la chaîne de traduction qu'est le récepteur de celle-ci, ou le lecteur.
il est celui qui donnera tout son sens au texte et à la traduction.
en prenant comme base l'approche d’Umberto Eco du lecteur modèle, nous avons tenté de déterminer quelles sont les compétences attendues de la part du lecteur d'un texte traduit et comment le traducteur peut-il prévoir ce lecteur dans la réalisation de sa mission.
