The current study aimed to identify the psychological depression and the level of anxiety and its relationship to the academic achievement of high school students in Karak Governorate..

To achieve the goals of the study, two scales were used: the Beck scale for depression, and the anxiety scale developed by the researcher, and their validities and reliabilities were verified, then they were applied on a sample of (340) Male and female students whom were randomly cluster sample selected .

Results indicated an average level of depression and anxiety among high school students in Al-Karak Governorate, and it was found that there is a positive statistically significant relationship at (α≤0.05) between anxiety and depression, as well as a negative statistically significant relationship (α≤0.05) between each of anxiety and depression in academic achievement the predictability of academic achievement via the level of anxiety and depression, and finally, the results indicated no statistically significant difference at (α≤0.05) between the level of depression and anxiety that is attributed to attributed to gender, specialization, and grade variables.
