This study came under the title (modernity and its impact on the development of traditional architecture in the United Arab Emirates) from an intellectual and philosophical side.

the study dealt with patterns of architecture in the state of the emirates and the emirate of Harjah and the impact of modernity on the development of traditional architecture and comparison and analysis of selected samples.

the problem was the answer i have several questions, to what extent has modernity affected the environment of the house and the interior design of the traditional houses of the emirate of Sharjah? what are the challenges faced by her community? does the conflict between modernity and tradition mean the disappearance of one of them, or does each of them interact with each other? the researcher relied on the descriptive analytical approach, the study tools represented in the field survey, observation, questionnaire, and interview.

among the most important results of the study, traditional architecture reflects many social and cultural aspects of society.

the UAE has undergone drastic changes after oil revenues, which was reflected in keeping pace with modernity and developments.

the vocabulary of traditional architecture, standards as environmental treatments and their re-use in contemporary architecture, and based on those results, recommendations were made.
