The research seeks to shed light on one of the most prominent issues that have come to present themselves strongly, especially in our time, which is witnessing terrible cultural interactions as a result of the spread of the tide of globalization, which calls us to the need to preserve the cultural heritage through theatrical discourse that plays a prominent role in bringing about real changes in convictions.

The recipient, especially the preservation of cultural identity from alienation in the face of manifestations of intellectual alienation by the influence of Western theatrical discourse.

Because theater is one of the tributaries of culture through the ages, it has future dimensions according to many strategies through its multiple discourses that have a wide impact on societies and direct thought in the right direction or vice versa.

Therefore, this raises many challenges and questions centered on how to enhance the individual's belonging to his cultural identity through theatrical discourse.

Therefore, the research problem focused on the following question: What are the intellectual foundations that enhance cultural identity in the Iraqi theatrical discourse? As for the importance of the topic and the challenges presented, this study, in a kind of phenomenological approach, seeks to show the importance of theatrical discourse in upgrading and developing the Iraqi cultural identity and studying the dimensions of that in the future on the identity of the community and ensuring its stability in order to establish the value of identity as a document of the individual’s belonging to the community in which he lives, using a modern theatrical discourse.
