This research aimed to develop a proposed strategy that supports the values of professional excellence among young people who are entering the labor market to enhance their future orientation towards entrepreneurial work.

the study sample consisted of (274) young men and women aged “17: 25” years, who are entering the labor market and who are belonging to a number of colleges and practical institutes and a number of secondary schools “technical- industrial- commercial” in the final year.

with the aim to achieve the objectives of this research, the research tools were prepared as follows; the general data form, the professional excellence values questionnaire, and the future orientation towards entrepreneurial work questionnaire.

the results of the research showed a decrease in the level of the values of professional excellence among the research sample by 45.6%, as well as a decrease in the level of future orientation towards entrepreneurial work by 50.4%.

the results also showed a statistically significant difference between the study sample members in the level of awareness of the values of professional excellence according to the difference of some variables as follows, regarding the work of the young men / young women before graduation, the differences were significant in favor of the working ones, in favor of the parents’ higher educational level, and in favor of the profession of the self-employed father, and family’s higher average monthly income.

whereas, there are no differences attributed to the variable of gender and the educational institution to which the research sample belongs.

there is also a statistically significant difference between the study sample members in the level of future orientation towards entrepreneurship according to gender in favor of males, and in favor of those belonging to universities compared to the institutes and secondary schools specified in the research, and in favor of parents’ higher educational level, father's self-employment, and family’s higher average monthly income.

the results also showed a statistically significant correlation between the values of professional excellence, and the future orientation of young people entering the labor market towards entrepreneurship at (0.01) level of significance.

there is also a positive correlation between some variables of the study represented in (young people’s educational institution-parents’ educational level-family’s average monthly income-father’s profession-young men / young women’s work-average monthly pocket money-a family member’s ownership of a private enterprise) and each of the values of professional excellence, and the future orientation towards entrepreneurship as a whole at (0.01) level of significance.

whereas, there is no relationship attributed to the gender variable.

based on the results of this research and the previous studies, the researcher proposed a strategy that supports the values of professional excellence to enhance the future orientation towards entrepreneurial work among young people who are entering the labor market.
