Human trafficking is a cross-border crime that exploits victims sexually or coerces them into work.

Human traffickers practice their activities secretly, so it is important to confront it locally and internationally.

The first section of this research paper introduces a definition of the crime of human trafficking and explains its causes and the extent of its danger to the local and the international community in general.

The second section talks about local and international protection to combat human trafficking crimes, through pointing out the protection campaign to combat human trafficking crimes in the Saudi and international systems.

The research concludes with a set of recommendations, including holding seminars and continuous courses in all state ministries, research centers, institutes and universities to spread legal and social awareness to identify and report this crime.

Officials must be trained in investigating the crime of human trafficking of an international character, identifying victims and providing protection services, assisting victims in seeking compensation, and prosecuting perpetrators of human trafficking.
