Individuals differ in the extent of their understanding of the reality of behavior, their awarenessof the issue of behavior, and their abilities to modify, develop and develop it in order to obtain thegoals in an optimal way and with positive results.

Thus, the degree of an individuals' understandingof behavior and his level of performance is related to his ability to balance experiences andlife events that always work to select the best, modify the bad, and compensate for the loss in aneffective manner.

The literature considers that there is a correlation between human behavior andthe age stage, which is effected by the personal aspects of the individual and the biological, emotional-cognitive activity that it includes and motivation with the environmental aspects and theconditions in which he lives.

University students are a very rich source of experience throughoutthe academic years and a source of scientific, literary and productive knowledge, which should begiven attention and opportunities to contribute to the development and production path as longs they are able to give and as long as their health conditions allow this according to their abilities, capabilities and motivation.

The research aims to: - identify the self-academic motivation of students in universities, identifythe statically significant differences in academic self-motivation according to the variables of specialization(scientific and human).

The research sample consist of (100) male and female students, who were randomly selected from the original research community, consisting of (50) males and(50) females.

Where the researcher prepared a scale to measure self-academic motivation, as itconsisted of (24) items.

The results showed that the research sample has a subjective academicmotivation.

The results showed that the research sample has a self-academic motivation, and alsoshowed that there is a high above the average level of self-academic motivation, and a statisticallysignificant difference at the level (0.05) according to the variables (gender, specialization) andfrom these results the researcher recommended a number of the recommendations and proposalsproviding financial support to students with high academic motivation and of both sexes in thescientific and humanities disciplines.

Recommendations: - Building a study program to raise the students' academic self-motivationin particular, in order to prepare individuals capable of achieving high achievement in the professionalfield, just like in developed countries.

Involve young people in purposeful activities thatincrease their academic motivation through which they can identify their true potential.

The researcher suggested several proposals, including: 1.

Conducting a similar study on various social segments of academic motivation in Iraqi society, such as employees, company owners, and university professors.2.

Building a program to raise students' academic self-motivation, in particular, to prepare individualcapable of achieving high achievement in the professional field, just like in developedcountries.
