The aim of the current research is to identify the effect of the task-based learning strategy (TBL) on the achievement of chemistry for second-grade intermediate students.

The research sample consisted of (52) students distributed (26) students for the experimental group and (26) students for the control group of gradestudents.

The second average from (Dar al-Salaam Intermediate School) affiliatedto the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad - the third Karkh, the two research groups were rewarded in the following variables: age calculated in months, intelligence (Otis-Lennon), previous achievement in chemistry, and testing previous information in chemistry, prepared The two researchers had an achievementtest for chemistry of the multiple-choice type.

When analyzing the data, the results showed that the experimental group students who studied according to thetask-based learning strategy (TBL) were statistically superior to the students ofthe control group who studied according to the traditional method.

In light of theresearch results, the researchers recommended a number of Among the recommendations, including the need to adopt the strategy of task-based learning (TBL)in teaching chemistry for the second intermediate grade because of its positiveimpact in raising the level of student achievement.
