الملخص الإنجليزي

This study aimed to identify the impact of human resources development on the performance of banks in Jordan.

To achieve this goal, the study adopted the analytical descriptive empirical approach, whereby the researcher prepared a questionnaire based on a comprehensive review of the previous literature which was distributed conveniently to a group of workers in various functional levels in the Jordanian banks.

The study used a number of statistical methods used to describe the study sample, check the reliability of the questionnaire and testing the study hypotheses that available in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences.

The study found that there is a statistically significant positive impact of the development of ( learning, training, moral incentive and empowerment ) on bank performance and there is no impact of financial incentives on bank performance.

The study recommended that banks in Jordan should reconsider the financial incentive systems to suit with the workers' efforts, the provision of specialized training courses in the field of banking work to develop the skills and capacities of the workers and the involvement of staff in decision-making processes to enhance the performance of banks in Jordan.
