The study aimed at identifying the characteristics of the political identity of the students of the information faculties in the Jordanian universities and their relation to the emotional balance.

The study was applied to a sample of 300 students who were selected by cluster random sample from the study society.

To achieve the objectives of the study, ( 20 ) divided into four dimensions ( tension, hostility, depression, emotional ), while a measure of political identity was constructed from ( 31 ) Items divided into four dimensions ( The achievement of political identity, the suspension of political identity, the seclusion of political identity, the fragmentation of political identity ) After Validity and Releability, The results indicated that the general arithmetical mean for the grades of the political identity of the students of the information faculties in the Jordanian universities was medium ; after achieving the political identity at the first level to a medium degree, and the dimension of "political seclusion" in the second and intermediate grades And after the "political identity suspension" at the third rank with a medium degree, then after the "political fragmentation" at the fourth and last grade to a medium degree.

The general arithmetic mean of the emotional equilibrium rating was medium ; ( Intermediate ) and "moderately" in the intermediate grade, after "depression" at the last level, and to a medium degree.

It also shows that there are statistically significant differences at the level of ( α ≤ 0.05 ) among the averages of the political identity due to gender differences, while there were no statistically significant differences at the level of ( α ≤ 0.05 ) between the emotional stability averages due to gender differences.

( α ≤ 0.05 ) between the level of emotional equilibrium and the assessment of the political identity of the students of the media colleges in the Jordanian universities.

It also shows that political identity can be predicted from emotional equilibrium, The study recommended providing educational and awareness programs for students of the media colleges to develop the political identity and develop emotional balance skills among students University media
