The study of Iranian-Ottoman relations is one of the important studies in the modern history of Iraq, especially with the accession of Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar in Iran at the end of the eighteenth century, which was the beginning of calm between the two sides, and of course the policy of the two countries was reflected in the states of Iraq in various aspects, especially The economic ones, as Iraq witnessed during the period 1848-1896 the reflection of the developments of the Iranian-Ottoman relations that directly affected its economic conditions, including the positive results that these relations left for the cessation of conflict and military activity for both countries in which Iraq was an arena for the Iranian-Ottoman conflicts In addition to the good effects that resulted in the economic and commercial cooperation fields, so the research was divided into two main topics.

The first topic focused on studying Iran's trade with the Ottoman states of Iraq and its impact on the economic conditions in the states of Iraq, while the second topic focused on the study of the policy of Financial taxes and their implications for Iraq.
