Alexander I assumed power after the coup that killed his father Pavel I on March 23, 1801, Alexander I began his reign by following his father's policy towards the Ottoman Empire despite the many changes that occurred in his internal and foreign policy, but he worked to contain the Ottoman Empire as much as possible and prevent Any attempt at rapprochement between France and France, no matter the cost, but the policy of containment through diplomatic action did not bear fruit in some cases, forcing Russia to threaten to declare war on the Ottoman Empire in the event of not obeying the advice of the Russian government and getting closer to France, and that is what actually happened in 1806, which witnessed renewed fighting between Russia and the Ottoman Empire instigated by France for the latter.

The research was divided into three axes, the first dealt with: Alexander I's policy towards the Ottoman Empire 1801-1807.

In which I discussed the Russian position on European ambitions in the Ottoman Empire, as well as the strengthening of the Russian presence in the Republic of the Seven Islands.

As for the second axis, it included: Russia's policy towards the subjects of the Ottoman Empire, while the third dealt with: the deterioration of Russian-Ottoman relations and the outbreak of the war in 1806.
