This research deals with one of the important topics about population in the meantimeas a result of various variables, factors, and reasons that will be addressed here.

Theresearcher intends to find out the extent of the development of this phenomenon andits spatial distribution in Karbala governorate according to its administrative units.

Thefindings proved that there are three types of domestic violence in Karbala governorate, the first type is the violence against wives with a percentage of (59% ) among the othertypes of violence committed in the governorate in 2020, the second type is the violencecommitted against parents with a percentage of (24% ), whereas the third type is theviolence committed against children with a percentage of (17% ).

The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to analyze the data obtainedfrom the official and unofficial departments.

The shortage of data was treated by carryingout a field study through designing a questionnaire where 750 copies were distributedaccording to the percentage of each of the administrative units randomly.
