This study aims to explore the jurisprudential rules related to the membership loyalty programs, the aviation sector as a paradigm.

The study consists of two parts; the first part deals with the descriptive study of the loyalty programs in terms of shedding the light on the definition, historical background, benefits, advantages, categories of membership, validity of the membership and mileage cards, methods of reckoning the miles in aviation companies, collection the miles either by buying or making gifts, and its conditions.

The second part deals with the jurisprudential aspect of the loyalty programs; it defines the jurisprudential adaptation to the loyalty programs and the mileage, the rules of collecting the mileage, and the rule that governs the other relevant issues.

This study employed the descriptive approach - including the deduction and induction approaches - in keeping with the content.

In general, the study concluded that the loyalty programs are consistent with the sharia law, adapting such program as a gift or loyalty, and the illegality of purchasing the mileage.

The study recommends bringing the loyalty programs under the provisions of Islamic Sharia, and reconsidering some relevant transactions such as the purchase of mileage
