Human trafficking is one of the most heinous and damaging crimes to individuals and society.

this crime manifests in perilous and devastating forms.

human trafficking for medical purposes, organ removal, medical experimentation, and surrogacy are the most common types of medical exploitation.

one of the most crucial reasons why these crimes are catastrophic is that they may result in great suffering, lasting impairment, or even death in the worst cases.

however, a review of the relevant criminal and penal laws in Saudi Arabia reveals no sanctions or punishments commensurate with the gravity of this crime and the threats it poses to society and humans.

therefore, this study was conducted to examine methods for protecting society against this type of crime and to confirm that sparing one life is comparable to sparing all lives.

this study also examined several unreported instances and types of human trafficking for medical purposes, as well as the corresponding punishments.

the study indicated that a legislative amendment is required to expand the definition of human trafficking for medical reasons.

in addition, the penalties for these crimes must be heightened, particularly in cases that result in the death of the victim.
