The aim of the study was to identify the most important challenges facing sustainable tourism development in Alexandria region, and to determine the extent to which tourism workers depended on the local “Alexandria Radio” for their knowledge of those challenges, the form of the media treatment presented and their attitudes towards them.

The descriptive approach to the study was followed and the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection.

The study found that congestion, traffic congestion, accumulation of garbage are among the most important challenges in Alexandria Governorate, bulldozing and building on agricultural lands, poor road network and traffic accidents, among the most important challenges in Beheira Governorate, And increasing tourism activity Summer, which leads to higher prices and tourism services.
