This research introduces the heritage houses (Al-Shanasheel) in the city of Basra, and Iraq in the area located in Al-Ahyaa area.

The reasons for their emergence date back to the nineteenth century and continued to spread until the twentieth century.

Their urban prosperity is considered a distinctive urban fabric for luxury homes at the same time in High-end shops, the stage of deterioration, extinction and neglect of them has begun, and this explains the survival of (97) houses for the year 2020, previous degrees of time, a civilized landmark for money owners, and the start of their solution, which has a change in designs for access to education.

The research sheds light on the spatial distribution of heritage houses in the city of Basra, studying their internal structure, and then identifying the most important problems that these houses suffer from and including the most important ways to preserve their architectural heritage, and this is only done through a field study to obtain information about heritage houses and using satellite visual To measure its areas to complete the information required in the search
