This study aimed to give a proposed vision for the establishment of an innovative university in Saudi Arabia based on global experiences.

The study seeks to examine the international experiences that can be used to establish this innovative university in Saudi Arabia, as well as to determine the degree of availability of the components for establishing an innovative university from the perspective of Saudi university leaders, Business Valley leaders, and educational management experts in Saudi universities.

Furthermore, the study attempted to identify the challenges facing the establishment of an innovative university in the Kingdom, as well as the requirements necessary for its establishment.

The descriptive survey approach was utilized to fulfill the study's objectives, with a study population of (199) leaders and experts, of whom (162) responded to the questionnaire tool to determine the availability of components and requirements.

The study sample also included (28) leaders who were interviewed, as well, to detect the challenges.

The following are the main findings: Stanford University, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), the University of Tokyo in Japan, and the Pohang University of Science and Technology are all part of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, have the most important international expertise that can be used to establish an innovative university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The degree of availability of the factors for building an innovative institution was medium, according to the study sample.

The main issues were identified in terms of organizational, administrative, human, technical, technological, financial, and material challenges.

According to the study sample, the degree of approval of the requirements for building innovative institutions was relatively high.

The study's key recommendations include putting the vision into action and providing the necessary tools for establishing an innovative university, as well as overcoming obstacles and issues and meeting all of the requirements.
