الملخص الإنجليزي

The study aims to identify the degree of the Palestinian family practice of its role in promoting education among its children from the point of view of the secondary school students in the southern governorates of Palestine, and ways to improve this role.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher has used the descriptive and analytical approach, and the constructive approach.

The study population consists of high school students in the Eastern and Central Gaza districts for the scholastic year (2020), and its number is (11691) male and female students.

The study sample has reached (400) students who have been chosen by the random sample method.

The researcher has also used a questionnaire as a study tool consisting of (40) items distributed in two areas.

He also relied on the focus group as a basic tool to suggest ways to improve the role of the Palestinian family in promoting education among its children.

The study has resulted in the following : − The degree of the Palestinian family's practice of its role in promoting education among its children from the point of view of secondary school students in the southern governorates of Palestine has come to a large degree, with a relative weight of (76.80.) % − There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a≤0.05 Between) the mean scores of the study sample assessment of the role of the Palestinian family in promoting education among its children due to the gender variable.

− There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a≤0.05 )between the averages of the study sample's scores for the role of the Palestinian family in promoting education among its children due to the scientific specialization variable (literary branch, scientific branch) in favor of students of scientific specialization, to the student's GPA variable is in favor of those whose average is higher and to the economic condition variable in favor of those whose condition is better and better.

− suggests ways to improve the role of the Palestinian family in promoting education among its children.

In light of the results of the study, the study recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: − The necessity of the Palestinian family interest in promoting children's education using all available means.

− That the family allocate a certain time to follow up on its children and to participate in carrying out their educational duties.
