The paper is about terminology in information communication sciences and it is aims to discuss and analyze the issue of unifying the terms and concepts in media and mass communication studies, given the overwhelming chaos surrounding the translation of the term in the Arab region, due to the different sources translated from them by researchers on the one hand, and the absence of agreement among translators to standardize terminology on the other hand, to besides, there is no body obligating unification in a comprehensive dictionary, necessitates addressing the concept of the term and its significance in media and communication sciences, in order to extract the most important translation procedures in terms of concept, content and methodology alike.

therefore, knowing how researchers and translators have followed in terms of agreeing or disagreeing about monotheism is essential.

the study yielded substantial results, the most important of which is that the term has a fundamental role in the cultural structure of societies, and this calls for careful examination and review when translating the term from the culture of the source text to the culture of the new recipient.
