The study aimed to reveal the ability to predict leadership traits in light of the self-efficacy and positive thinking of the children of martyrs and to determine the relationship between leadership traits, self-efficacy and positive thinking.

The study also sought to identify the differences among the study population in these variables which are attributed to the demographic variables of gender, study level, age, mother’s work, academic achievement and the governorate.

The study sample included (190) martyrs’ children, and the researcher used three tools prepared by her, which are the leadership characteristics scale, the self-efficacy scale, and the positive thinking scale.

The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the objectives of the study, ensured validity and reliability of the study results, and used the appropriate statistical methods.

The study reached a set of results, the most important of which was that the relative weight to achieve leadership traits among the study sample reached (78.69%), divided into three dimensions as follows: the dimension of cognitive traits ranked first place with a relative weight (80.57%), the dimension of social traits reached second place with a relative weight (80.39%), and the dimension of emotional traits ranked third place with a relative weight (78.12%.) The relative weight of self-efficacy was (79.46%), while the relative weight of positive thinking was (78.60%).

The study also showed an effect of leadership traits on self-efficacy and positive thinking, as the prediction rate for leadership traits with self-efficacy was (0.23%), while positive thinking was (0.59%.) The study showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the leadership traits of the children of martyrs according to the variables (mother’s work, age, governorate), and there were statistically significant differences in the leadership traits attributed to the variable of gender in favor of females, and to the variable of study level in favor of high school students, and to the variable of academic achievement in favor of excellent students.

There were no statistically significant differences in self-efficacy among the children of martyrs according to the following variables (gender, study level, mother’s work, age, and governorate).

There were statistically significant differences in positive thinking among the children of martyrs according to the following variables (gender, academic achievement, mother’s work, age, and governorate).

There are differences in positive thinking due to the variable of study level in favor of high school students.

The researcher recommends the importance of paying attention to the leadership traits of the children of martyrs by the family, society and the institutions that sponsor them, and to encourage the martyrs’ children to talk about and discuss the topics and activities that they care about, focusing on group work and enhancing their self-confidence.

The researcher also recommends conducting mentoring programs to help them develop their leadership traits and to highlight their obvious effect on their positive thinking and increasing their self-confidence.
