الملخص الإنجليزي

The study aims at identifying the impact of employing active learning strategies on developing concepts and skills of geometrical thinking among ninth grade female students in Gaza.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared the study materials and tools, which were: the teacher's guide according to the active learning strategies, the geometrical concepts test and the geometrical thinking skills test.

The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach to conduct the study.

The study sample consisted of (80) students from Khawla Bint Azwar Secondary School in the Central Educational District, distributed randomly into two groups; the first is a control who studied in the traditional way and the second is an experimental one who studied through active learning strategies.

The most important findings of the study : The findings of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences in the geometrical concepts test in favor of the experimental group, and also there were statistically significant differences in the geometrical thinking skills test in favor of the experimental group.

The most important recommendations of the study : Based on these findings, the researcher recommended the necessity of using different active learning strategies in teaching mathematics, and conducting more studies on these strategies in different subjects and classes, and other variables.
