The study aimed to know the requirements of applying the realistic evaluation and the degree of its availability in the governmental elementary stage schools in the southern governorates of Palestine and ways to activate it.

To achieve the study goals, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach and the structural approach.

Three tools were used for the study, namely the interview, the questionnaire and the focus group.

The study population consisted of all principals of the elementary stage schools (1-4) in the Gaza Strip, who were (182) male and female principals, and the study sample included all school principals.

The study results showed that the degree of availability of realistic evaluation requirements in the governmental elementary stage schools was (medium) in percentage ( 67.63 %) , as the degree of availability of realistic evaluation requirements for the curriculum came first.

It was followed in second place by the theme related to school administration, the theme relating to the teacher ranked third, the fourth was related to parents, and the last category was the theme of educational administration.

It was found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤.05) between the average estimates about the degree of availability of realistic evaluation requirements due to the variables (gender, educational qualification and number of years of service).

The study recommends continuing to adopt the realistic evaluation in the elementary stage schools, while seeking to develop it according to the modern scientific and educational foundations, and the necessity to provide all the necessary requirements to implement the realistic evaluation in an optimal manner.
