Even if they are autonomous from each other on the conceptual level, the two notions : "language" and "culture", are inseparable on the phenomenological level, to the point that it is no longer possible to treat the one in isolation from the other.
hence the importance of the object "culture" in language teaching, like the teaching of FLE in secondary school in Algeria, one of the objectives of which is to develop intercultural competence in learners.
such a task is not devoid of difficulties and consequences, given the absence among teachers of clear ideas on the intercultural approach and the complexity of the subject "culture".
such is the result of this study aiming to bring elements of clarification around the complexity of the object "culture" in language class, and this, through a survey based on an interview made with a sample of teachers of FLE of the Wilaya of el Oued in Algeria.
الملخص FRE
Mêmes si elles sont autonomes l’une de l’autre sur le plan conceptuel, les deux notions : "langue" et "culture", sont inséparables sur le plan phénoménologique, au point qu’il n’est plus possible de traiter l’une isolément de l’autre.
d’où l’importance de l’objet "culture" dans l’enseignement des langues, à l’instar de l’enseignement de FLE au secondaire en Algérie dont l’un des objectifs est de développer chez les apprenants la compétence interculturelle.
une telle tâche n’est pas dénuée de difficultés et des retombées, étant donné l’absence chez les enseignants d’idées claires sur la démarche interculturelle et la complexité de l’objet "culture".
tel est le résultat de cette étude visant à apporter des éléments d’éclaircissement autour de la complexité de l’objet "culture" en classe de langue, et ce, à travers une enquête basée sur un entretien fait avec un échantillon d’enseignants de FLE de la wilaya d’el oued en Algérie.
