We spread out credit cards, as a means of electronic payment, widespread in recent years, and has become one of the important activities of the banks and financial institutions and the basic needs of individuals in societies.

This research consists of three sections The first part, we stated the brief history of the credit card and its source, and showed its usefulness, and then showed the meaning of credit, according to the chosen definition of a credit card, and analyzed terminological definition, according to the types of credit cards and their characteristics.

In the second part, which showed that the origin of the new transaction permission, and that the opinion of the majority of scholars showed Terms of the new contracts, and suggested permission credit card because they are updated contracts; provided that they are free from the things that invalidate contracts, usury.
