Technology has a major role in the development of libraries.

The entry of technologies in libraries has contributed in the field of innovation and creativity by redefining the roles of library staff, and integration between leadership in the library and decision-makers at the university, and brings extraordinary ideas which leads to the development of the technical processes in libraries for applying them in a new approach.

The study used the analytic descriptive method, using a questionnaire form that was addressed to the directors of the central libraries of Baghdad and Technology Universities.

The research reached a number of results, such as: 1.

More than 57% of the directors at the two central libraries (Baghdad's 2 branches, and Technology) gives their employees the opportunity to discuss important topics related to the development of library services.

There are positive discussions between the directors of these libraries, and between them and their employees, to allow the employees of these libraries to join training courses that develop their skills.

The stud;y also indicated that the use of Saudi Digital Library by stud;y respondents reached a percentage of (77.35%).

As for satisfaction on Saudi Digital Library's quality and efficacy in meeting scientific needs, it was considered satisfactory, with a percentage of (60.71%) among stud;y respondents, which shows a high level of satisfaction.

The main obstacles facing beneficiaries were the lack of personal knowledge on databases' capabilities, with a percentage of (28.57%), followed by the lack of adequate coverage of all sources of information, with a percentage of (25.71%), as well as the lack of Arabic electronic resources available in the library, with a percentage of (22.86%).

Based on stud;y findings, the researcher recommends the need for subscription in the American Chemical Society's database, as well as the need for constant gathering of statistics on the extent to which databases are used, for the purpose of suspending completely unused and neglected databases and providing new databases that cover shortages in certain disciplines.
