This research aims at presenting a suggested proposal of the role of the Yemeni media in enhancing the awareness of the Yemeni masses of the risks against Yemen, from the viewpoint of media experts.

The suggested proposal has passed through two phases; the first phase in which the researcher used the Inductive Approach to evaluate the performance of the Yemeni media based on previous monitoring of former studies as well as the direct observation of the researcher.

The second stage is to survey the opinions of experts in the field of media.

The Descriptive and Analytical Approach has been used.

The researcher also has adopted one of the methods used in future studies, namely, Delphi Method to survey the viewpoints of media experts at Yemeni universities.

To carry out the Delphi Method, the researcher designed an open-ended and closed- ended questionnaire consisting of four domains: potential risks threatening Yemen in the present and future; methods of enhancing the Yemeni public's confidence in the media; quantitative and qualitative development of media content related to risks against Yemen; and qualification, appointment, training and evaluation of media personnel.

Data collection instrument was implemented on (11) experts in media field for reaching a consensus about its content.

The findings of the research have shown the necessity of undertaking multi-faceted reforms in the Yemeni media system, so that media can win the trust of the Yemeni masses.

It has been also demonstrated that media is supposed to perform its assigned role to reveal the risks against Yemen and to enhance the awareness of the public in order to confront such risks.

The researcher has presented a proposed vision, based on the obtained findings of the research, for those in charge of the media in Yemen to make the needed reforms.
