The study aimed to identify the impact of information technology governance on the governance practices of the Jordanian ministry of agriculture, where the dimensions of the (cobit5) model in the study were adopted as dimensions for the independent variable (information technology governance), and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the descriptive and analytical approach to monitor data and interpret relationships.

study population from the Jordanian ministry of agriculture as a case study.

where the researchers developed a questionnaire as a tool for data collection that included all study variables, (278) questionnaires were distributed electronically to all employees of the ministry of agriculture at various upper, middle and lower administrative levels via Whatsapp and e-mail due to the difficulty of distributing them manually due to the corona pandemic, and they were all recovered at a rate of (100%).the statistical analysis program (SPSS) was used to analyze the study data.

the most important results of the study are the presence of a statistically significant impact at the level of significance(α≤5.55) for information technology governance in its dimensions (ownership and implementation, support and delivery, monitoring and evaluation, directing and monitoring) on governance practices in its dimensions (transparency, accountability, control, participation) in the Jordanian ministry of agricultureone of the most important recommendations is for the ministry of agriculture to work on the necessity to clearly develop a long-term strategic plan for information systems, and for operational needs such as manpower and technological infrastructure to be provided for the service provided to customers more.
