This study aimed to identify the impact of the practices of talent management in promoting entrepreneurship in public Jordanian universities in the south region of Jordan from the perspective of their deans and heads of departments.

The researchers used the analytical description method with a sample size of (130) deans and heads of departments, i.e.

(93,52) % of the study population.

Multiple Regression Analysis was conducted to test the proposed hypotheses.

The results showed that the practices of talent management at the public Jordanian universities in the south region of Jordan from the point of view of their deans and heads of their departments came at a high degree.

The study as well found both employee retention and training and development to positively impact entrepreneurship.

The study recommended that universities provide the talented individuals with the opportunity for creativity and knowledge acquisition by giving them the chance to present new ideas develop their skills, and to stay away from complicated procedures at work and providing them with financial and non-financial privileges.
