This study aimed to verify whether there was a rationalization impact of spending on the effectiveness of school administration in secondary schools in Gaza governorates.

The study followed the descriptive-analytical approach.

The study specifically employed the survey technique as the study sample consisted of (140) male and female principals from secondary school principals in the governorates of Gaza out of (146) ones comprising the whole population.

The questionnaire was a data collection tool.

The most important findings of the study were: 1.

The overall degree of the Ministry of Education’s practice in the governorates of Gaza to rationalize expenditures from the point of view of secondary school principals obtained a relative weight of (71.27%).

The highest two items in the “Rationalization of Expenditure” questionnaire: were “The Ministry instructs school principals to the necessity of updating depositing the sums of money in the bank.

This item ranked first with a relative weight of (92.84%), followed by the item: “The ministry urges school principals to update the reviews of the financial records, which ranked second with a relative weight of (91.56 %).

The total estimation scores of the participants for the level of effectiveness of school administration in secondary schools in the governorates of Gaza from the viewpoint of secondary school principals obtained a relative weight of (85.42%).

As for the arrangement of the questionnaire domains according to their relative weights, it was as follows: - The domain of educational leadership came first, with a relative weight of (89.18%) and with a very high degree, followed by the domain of resources management came second with a relative weight of (86.57%) and with a very high degree, too.

Then the domain of school operations and learning outcomes came third with a relative weight of (86.12) %) with a very high degree, and finally, the local community domain came fourth with a relative weight of (79.47%.

There was a positive correlation at (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of the study sample's estimates (administrators) of the degree of the Ministry of Education’s practice in Gaza governorates to rationalize expenditures and the mean of their estimates of the level of school administration effectiveness in secondary schools in Gaza governorates.

There was a statistically significant effect at (α ≤ 0.05) of the Ministry of Education’s practice in Gaza governorates to rationalize spending on school administration effectiveness in secondary schools in Gaza governorates.

The study recommended the following: 1.

Building executive plans based on a thorough study of the available human and material resources, with the aim of making the best use of them.

2.

Directing the efforts of teachers and students towards producing projects with a profitable return on the school.

3.

The Ministry should actively share school administrators in preparing a rational budget.

4.

Encouraging teachers and students to conduct procedural research for some educational problems, to contribute to solving them.

5.

Relying on the results of the needs assessment (school self-study) in building the school plan.
