Sildenafil, Vardenafil, and Tadalafil compounds are phosphodiesterase 5 inhipitors, which are effective in impotency therapy among other indications.

These compounds are available in the local and international market as pharmaceutical preparations (tablets).

On the other hand, there are herbal preparations (powders, capsules, dried herbal materials, and tablets) used in the therapy of erectile dysfunction.

Around the world many cases of adulteration have been found of these claimed to be herbal preparation with chemical origin compounds like Sildenafil, Vardenafil, and Tadalafil.

In this research, a rapid accurate precise and robust RP-HPLC method has been developed to, separate, assay, and detect Sildenafil, Vardenafil, and Tadalafil in the unlicensed herbal preparations sold in the Syrian market, which are labeled as erectile dysfunction remedies.

It was conducted with a C18 (250mmX4.6mm), 5^m, and a mobile phase: an acetonitrile, buffer of triethanolamine & orthophsphoric acid, and methanol, in ratios 25: 50: 25, respectively.

And flow rate 1.8 ml/ min.

and a UV photo diodarray detector in 223 nm.

The limit of detection and limit of quantitation were determined for the Sildenafil 2.732, 8.279^g/ml, Vardenafil 4.616, 13.988 ^g/ml, and Tadalafil 0.649, 1.967pg/ml.

This method has been conducted to detect and assay the adulteration in the herbal products sold in the Syrian market, and labeled as erectile dysfunction remedies.
