The great developments in communication technologies and the information revolution have led to the emergence of the concept of the digital economy, which has led to the emergence of new forms of banking, and the spread of electronic payment methods has had an impact on the Central Bank's fulfillment of its responsibilities in managing monetary policy through which it controls the cash balance and controls financing, especially In light of the spread of electronic services and their use as a form of transformation into the digital economy, hence the importance of the study by highlighting the role of the Central Bank as a monetary authority in managing monetary policy in light of these developments with the case study of Jordan, where the study assumes that the use of modern payment methods ( Digital currencies) will affect the tools of monetary policy and the functions of the central bank, and the research aims to understand the relationship between the house of digital currencies and monetary policy and the extent of its impact on monetary transactions in the economy as well as keeping pace with global developments in the field of central banking, as the study concluded that the digital currency will affect The role of the bank and its wide spread will lead to the disappearance of the concept of liquidity and thus the disappearance of the role of monetary policy tools in controlling banks The cash machine.
