What is the constitutional basis for the electoral system for Parliament? The paper answered this problem through the constitutional basis research for the Palestinian legislative elections.

This study is divided into two chapters.

The first chapter has discussed the legal phase for legislative elections and the Central Election Commission.

To study this topic in detail, the first chapter is divided into two requirements: the electoral systems and the legal phase of central legislative elections.

The Palestinian Political system adapted a mixed electoral system that happened in (2006) allowing politicians and independent candidates to run themselves in the elections.

In addition, the second legal result is that the central legislative election was formed according to the presidential decree related to the election law in (2007).

The main internal system is formed to determine the technical and administrative work mechanism based on the recommendations of that commission.

The second chapter of the research is the legal basis of the Palestinian legislative elections.

This chapter is divided into two researches, the first one is the legislative elections in (2006), and the second one is the legislative elections in (2021).

The legal result of this chapter is the amending of the election law after the elections in (2006).

The electoral system adopted proportional representation according to the election law in (2007), which modified some subjects when the public election was decided in (2021).

It indicated that there is no clear and fixed legal base for Palestinian legislative elections.
