The research aims to discover the active narrative techniques in the Short Story Series (33) An Iraqi Icon, and to determine the narrative techniques that the narrator has used to narrate his story form one side to another side of knowledge like philosophy, sociology, politics and alike.

The research seeks to highlight the difference in the narrative techniques in regards to the narration and narrators alongside their handling for some problematic elements that represent the ego or central recipient.

Then, the paper answers two hypothetical questions , the first question ; what is the standardized assessment regulator for the stories arrangement?, the second question; what is the connotational relation between the short story and icon?.

Thus, the main reading effort will be concerned with these two meanings of (short story) and (narration) hence the first genre is described as a narrative component while the other is basic narration, by the end, both of them rotate in the multicultural hemispheres of the creative outcome for narration.
