The main objective of this research is to identify the reality of the banking sector in South Africa, by addressing the structure of the banking sector there, and identifying the development of its indicators, in addition to addressing the nature, principles and procedures for reforming the banking sector in South Africa, and this was done by testing the hypothesis the main point of the research is that “the reforms of the banking sector in South Africa had a positive impact on the development of the indicators of the banking sector.” the research relied on the descriptive analytical approach ; To achieve the main purpose of the study, which describes the state and reality of the banking sector in South Africa, in addition to addressing its main indicators.

the results of the research indicate the possibility of accepting the hypothesis of the research that “the reforms of the banking sector in South Africa had a positive impact on the development of the indicators of the banking sector” ; the results of the research indicate the development of most indicators of the banking sector in South Africa during the period (2004-2019).
