The theme of the study on the most important remnants left by French colonialism in Lebanon (19201943-) sheds light on these residues with a glimpse of the most important pros and cons with the researcher’s opinion on this subject.

these remnants have included, among other areas, the political, judicial, economic and cultural spheres, and reactions to these remnants have varied between supporters and opponents, we see supporters of Arab nationalism as strong opponents and those affected by this colonialism, while we see support and benefit from this colonialism by Maronite's and some Christians.

the colonial remnants varied between negative and positive, for each area, and in negative terms we find that further division within Lebanese society is perpetuated by strengthening vulnerable communities, handing over administrative positions in the state, using the cultural sphere to remove Islamic and Arab identity and keeping Lebanon away from its surroundings, while the positive aspects were the economic aspect of its development, the introduction of technology and the exit from the depression that prevailed at the end of ottoman rule, but this positivity primarily served French colonialism.

the use of the method was history because we date an important period of the region’s past, which has a pivotal role in the events we are going through today, as well as the analytical approach in studying and analysing the contents and texts of this study.
