Deviant behavior is an eternal phenomenon since the early existence of human beings.

It became a social problem that should be investigated since it threatens the cohesion and peace of society.

Consequently, there should be appropriate precautionary and social penalties for perpetrators of deviant behavior to achieve the goal of protecting society from its spread..

This study aimed to highlight the most important social and economic factors that cause deviant behavior, the rule of official social control institutions and political factors that have negative repercussions in the rate of prevalence of deviant behavior.

The researcher used some research tools, including the questionnaire.

The study revealed that the reasons behind the spread of deviant behaviour are attributed to the weak institutional social structure of the state, and the state of conflict and political instability accompanied by the absence of a deterrent law.

The absence of the rule of the various control devices in society lead to the prevalence of deviant behavior.

Poverty and the spread of unemployment are also among the factors that contributed to the perpetration of deviant behavior, in addition to the fact that bad companionship.

The researcher recommended combating poverty and unemployment, creating more job opportunities for young people, good selection of security and judicial cadres, enhancing the impact of local community organizations, strengthening the function of courts and prosecutions, and expediting the dissemination of cases of community members.
