The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the financial policy in addressing the effects of the economic cycles in Sudanese economy (1960-2917) by focusing on current spending, development spending and direct taxes and indirect and their relationship to the growth rate of per capita income.

identify the appropriate financial policy that leads to addressing the consequences of negative economic cycles and the stability of the Sudanese economy.

in proportion to the intertwined relationships between financial policy tools and the effects of economic cycles, the problem of the study was the inability to choose the appropriate financial policy in addressing the effects of economic cycles in Sudan.

as using an econometric model to know the type and impact of fiscal policy tools in addressing the effects of economic cycles.

the switching method was used through which the effects of economic cycles were identified and treated, which is (switching regression), in addition to building a real-time model that shows the interrelationships between macroeconomic indicators.

the study assumed there was a direct relationship between direct taxes and the rate of economic growth, an inverse relationship between indirect taxes and the rate of economic growth, a direct relationship between development spending and the rate of economic growth, an inverse relationship between current spending and the rate of economic growth, and the negative effects of economic cycles have been addressed through financial policy tools.

the study reached results represented in the presence of a negative relationship between indirect taxes and the rate of economic growth, and positive relation between development spending and the rate of economic growth, an inverse relationship between current spending and the rate of economic growth, and the negative effects of economic cycles were addressed through fiscal policy and based on the discussion of the hypotheses, the results were accepted.

the study made several recommendations, including increasing taxes direct because it works to redistribute income among members of society and increase economic growth, and reduce indirect taxes, which in turn work to increase per capita income growth as well as increase development spending, which leads to the growth of the individual's growth, and the superiority of the current, which works to increase the growth of the individual and bring about economic growth.
