The aim of the study was to identify and solve the problems in the application of e-government in Sudan, using the state of Nile river as an example.

the descriptive survey method was used.

the study population consisted of employees of the government institutions.

in order to collect the data of the study, a questionnaire with (21) questions were designed to test the hypotheses of the study and its validity and reliability were confirmed.

the results of the study proved that there is a statistically significant relationship between the strategic vision and the non-implementation of e-government, there is a statistically significant relationship between the infrastructure, the possibility of organizational transformation, the change of regulations and laws, the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance and application of e-government, and the answers of the respondents are independent of the professional position.

based on the previous results, the study recommends the introduction of e-government with the dissemination of the culture of the concept of e-government, the provision of infrastructure and the necessary training of employees.
