Islamic finance took shape in the 1970s and developed rapidly to allow Arab oil-producing countries to place their excess liquidity induced by the sharp rise in the price of oil in the Islamic financial markets.

With, in this case, the creation of the first Islamic bank, the Dubai Islamic Bank in Dubai in 1975.

Other countries in the region have adopted this new industry such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.

Note that during this period Islamic finance was almost absent in the Maghreb countries.

Since the 1990s, it has experienced a spectacular development marked by the opening of Islamic windows by the traditional banks located in Muslim countries, Our research object is to understand Islamic banking system and Our problem is to know what is the role of Financial intermediation in the Islamic banking system? to answer this problem we will define the Islamic bank and treat these different types, then we will present the principle of intermediation and finish with the assessment of the financial resources of Islamic banks,

الملخص FRE

La finance islamique a pris forme, au cours des années 1970 et s’est développée rapidement pour permettre aux pays arabes producteurs de pétrole de placer leurs liquidités excédentaires induites par la forte hausse du prix de pétrole dans les marchés financiers islamiques.

Avec, en l’occurrence, la création de la première banque islamique, la Dubaï Islamic Bank à Dubaï en 1975.

D’autres pays de la région ont adopté cette nouvelle industrie comme le Pakistan, l’Indonésie, la Malaisie, la Thaïlande, et Singapour.

Notons que pendant cette période la finance islamique était quasi-absente dans les pays du Maghreb.

Depuis les années 1990, elle a connu un développement spectaculaire marqué par l’ouverture des fenêtres islamiques par les banques classiques implantées dans les pays musulmans , Notre objet de recherche est de comprendre système bancaire islamique et Notre problématique est de savoir quel est le rôle de L’intermédiation financière dans le système bancaire islamique ? pour répondre a cette problématique on va définir la banque islamique et traiter ces différents types , puis on va présenter le principe de l’intermédiation et finir avec l’évaluation des ressources financières des banques islamiques.
