Our study covered the issue of internet addiction and its impact on relations among family members in the Lebanese family.

these variables are at the core of psychological and psychosocial theories, which formed the basis of our study.

the study has two main aspects :the theoretical aspect: it includes a presentation of the research methodology, the theoretical framework and the most prominent theories that dealt with the basic concepts of internet addiction, family compatibility and interaction.

our study employs both quantitative and qualitative research techniques at the same, we adopted the analytical descriptive approach that describes the phenomenon and then analyzes the relation between variables.

we have chosen a sample that encapsulates all the variables of the study.

the sample includes 303 male and female respondents from all cultural and economic backgrounds.

the questionnaire technique included two measures ;family compatibility and interaction scale, and internet addiction scale.

we tested the scales on an experimental sample after assuring their validity and reliability through the Cronbag alpha.

after collecting field data, they were analyzed through appropriate statistical operations that helped us determine the existence of a relation between the independent variables(the economic situation, the educational level, relationships, the use of internet) and the dependent variables( family compatibility and interaction) .

as for the internet addiction variable, it was a mediating variable in our study.

among the most important findings of the study is that the bad use of the internet negatively affects relions among family members inside Lebanese families.

another finding is that there is an inverse relation between internet addiction and family compatibility and interaction.

the higher the level of internet addiction, the lower is the level of family compatibility and interaction.

there are differences on the measures of internet addiction and family compatibility and interaction due to the variable of relationships and the communication form.

in addition, there are differences on the same scales due to the economic situation.

the better the financial situation, and the educational level the lower is the internet addiction and the higher the family compatibility ANF interaction.
