The research deals with the characteristics of the investigation of fiqh manuscripts in the Hanafi Doctrine, and what must be taken into account by the investigator when studying and investigating the manuscript; Such as being briefed on the general principles of the madhhab, knowing the saying adopted when the imams of the sect differ, the effect of the companions’ violating Imam Abu Hanifa on the approved saying, and the importance of knowing the terminology of the Hanafi school, and the books that must be relied upon to convey the opinion of the sect.

What the research focuses on is alerting the investigator to the importance of the types of fonts used in writing Hanafi jurisprudential manuscripts, the method of writing such as the scattered script, and the diversity of fonts in a single manuscript such as Naskh, Kufic, Persian and Diwani scripts, with examples of that from existing and circulating manuscripts.

At the end of the research, a reference is made to what the Hanafi school of thought is distinguished from other schools of thought - which has an impact on the investigator's work when investigating - such as the expansion of inference by analogy, the controls for working with one's report, and the hypothetical jurisprudence approach in imposing issues.
