The goal of this research is to learn more about the causes of organizational silence (OS) and the dominant leadership style (LS) in the Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security, as well as the relationship between the two.

The study took a descriptive analytical approach, targeting a sample of 181 people and validating (150) questionnaires for analysis (82.9%).

The transformational leadership (TF) style was discovered to be prevalent.

In terms of OS, it was relatively high, with a high level of acceptability (50.40%).

The data also revealed that TF had a minimal impact on four of the five causes of OS, namely, a lack of senior management support, isolation, work-related anxieties, and finally, fear of unfavorable reactions, with no association to the cause of a lack of experience.

In terms of transactional leadership, it had no influence on any of the causes of OS in this style, with the exception of the cause of weak experience, where it had a favorable but limited effect.

The study concluded that promoting TF behavior is important since it has a positive impact on minimizing OS behavior.

Researchers should also look at the connection between the causes of OS and other organizational factors.
