I derived the subject of the research from the poem Rain Song from the Diwan of the Iraqi poet Badr Shakir Al-Sayyab; It aims to read the semantic indicators of vision and the elements of formation in the poem “Song of the Rain”, and to show the extent to which vision and formation contribute to showing the poet’s personality and the features of the era.

The research highlights the relationship between the poet and the homeland by defining what his vision is, and reviewing the aesthetic and color images that he reflected in his understanding of reality and life, which he expressed with a dictionary full of emotions.

Al-Sayyab was considered one of the most important poets of the modern era who deliberately renovated the Arabic poem.
