The study aimed to identify to which degree digital citizenship standards are satisfied in the content of the computer and information technology course at primary schools for adult education.

to achieve this goal, the researchers used the descriptive approach (content analysis).

a list of digital citizenship standards to be met in the course content was developed, including nine main standards as follows : digital access standard, digital security and law standard, digital safety standard , digital rights and responsibilities standard, digital code of conduct standard, digital communication standard, digital literacy standard and digital commerce standard.

this tool was applied to the content of the computer and it course for the primary stage at schools for adult education in its recent edition for the year 1441 ah in the two semesters (first - second).

having the repetitions monitored and the percentages calculated, the study concluded that the computer and information technology content for the primary stage at schools for adult education does not meet citizenship standards except to the extent incorporated in such course.

the standards (digital culture, digital rights and responsibilities, digital code of conduct and digital communication) achieved the highest percentage, which amounted to (11.1%), meanwhile the standard of digital safety achieved the lowest percentage, which amounted to 3.7%.

furthermore, the course also does not address the standard of digital commerce and digital law.
