The Study dealt with social adjustment and its role in the treatment of drug addiction in the Hayah Addiction Center.

The problem of the Study was to answer the main question: Can social adjustment contribute to the treatment of drug addiction in Sudanese society? Is the poor psychological and social compatibility of the addicted role in addiction? Is the social compatibility of the family a role in the treatment of addiction? Does rehabilitation and treatment have a role in the psychological and social rehabilitation of addicts? The Study aimed to identify how to treat and rehabilitate addicts, and the social compatibility of the family and its impact on the treatment of drug addiction.

To what extent does the social adjustment of the family affect the treatment of addicts? The researcher relied on the descriptive analytical approach in order to identify the impact of social variables on addiction treatment through a field Study on the Hayah Addiction Center.

The researcher used the sample method available in the questionnaire in addition to conducting interviews.

The Study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The cohesion of the Structure of the family community contributes to limiting the spread of drug addiction and accelerating the treatment proccss through the positive impact of parents on the life of the addict, as well as good social relations, compatible between families and their surroundings, and that social harmony between parents affects on treatment, and that family control plays a major role in limiting the spread of abuse.

The Study recommended intensifying family monitoring and follow-up, because the family has a primary role in drug prevention before treatment, and not to be influenced by addicted friends, and the family’s participation in the details that occur outside the home.
