The aim of the research is to highlight the causes and factors that lead to autism, indicating the family implications of it in order to highlight the role of official and non-official institutions and bodies towards providing the necessary support and care for autistic people psychologically, socially and educationally, and their families.

Accordingly, the researcher reached the following most important results: 1) Autism is a type of developmental disability caused by a dysfunction in the central nervous system (the brain) in addition to other reasons, including: social and psychological, resulting in a lack of sensory and linguistic perception, and the inability to communicate, communicate, learn and social interaction, and affects family life by creating Imbalances in social relations and emotional interactions between spouses, compounding their suffering as a result of the increased demands associated with autism care and emotional troubles that lead to poor adjustment, lack of cohesion and family cohesion.

2)The incidence of autism is higher in males than in females by 1:4 3) Autism affects the occurrence of a crisis within the family whose severity and extent vary according to the family’s economic, social, cultural and educational characteristics and levels.

4) The lack of the role of institutions, government agencies, and international organizations specialized in disability in Yemen to provide the necessary and sufficient rehabilitation and care programs for autism or to support their families financially and educationally.

5) The absence of quality services provided by centers and private associations that contribute to the interaction of autistic people with members of their community, due to the lack of specialized and qualified human cadres in this field due to the modernity of these centers in Yemeni society.
