Islamic Sharia was keen to establish marriage on the strongest foundations and principles, to achieve its good purpose, which is permanence and survival, family happiness, stability and prevention of internal disunity, and the protection of this union from conflict and disagreement, so that children grow up in an atmosphere of love, intimacy, friendliness, and tranquility.

But not every woman is fit to contract with her.

Rather, it is stipulated that the woman on whom the contract is intended be not forbidden to the one who wants to marry her, whether this prevention is permanent or temporary.

The life ban prevents a woman from being a wife to a man at all times.

The temporary prohibition prevents a woman from marrying her as long as she is in a special condition that is present in her.

If the situation changes and the temporary prohibition terminates, it becomes permissible.

The reasons for the perpetual prohibition are lineage- intermarriage- breastfeeding.

In this study, I dealt with one of the obstacles to marriage- the impediment of consanguinity.

-The study aimed to establish the doctrinal rooting of the impediment to marriage due to kinship relations; its data were collected from the main references.

The study followed the inductive and comparative methods.

The study reached several results, the most important of which are: Consanguineous marriage causes weak offspring.

Jewish law deviated from the rest of the divine laws and permitted the marriage of an uncle oraunt.
