The research highlights the tourism movement in Assiut Governorate, and the development of the number of tourists coming to Assiut, and the number of tourism nights in Assiut.

Also, the study investigate the geographical distribution of tourism services, and finally the field study represented in the characteristics of tourists.

As for the study of the development of the volume of incoming tourists, it was found that there was a noticeable increase in toursism number and nights during the period (1999-2018).

The seasonality of the tourism movement showed that months (March-April-May) are the most frequent months of the year for the governorate, due to the high demand for the religious shrines that the governorate enjoys.

As for the development of the tourism movement, it is clear from the table that the general trend of the incoming tourism movement to Assiut Governorate during the period (1999-2018) started to rise despite the presence of clear fluctuations during some years, but the number of tourists increased from 27,705 tourists during 1999 AD to 42,116 during the year 2018, and the most important sources of tourist movement in the governorate are (Egyptians - foreigners - Arabs), then study the development of tourism nights in the governorate, which turned out to be in the development from (1999-2018) from 39279 for a tourist night to 96,449 for a night of tourism, and when studying the development of tourism nights In 2018, it became clear that the period of tourist stay increased to a maximum in April of 2.9%.

The student in this part conducted a field study on a sample of visitors according to their age and gender composition, and it became clear that the % of visitors from the average age group (15 to 40 years) increased by 46.7%, and a high.
